How many Ukrainians can return from abroad after the war
A positive scenario for the development of the demographic situation will become possible if the conditions for the return of Ukrainians are created in Ukraine.
According to the most positive scenario, only up to 50% of Ukrainians who went abroad may return to Ukraine after the end of the war.
The director of the Institute of Sociology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Yevgeny Holovakha shared this forecast in an interview with UNIAN.
According to him, there are several scenarios for the development of the demographic situation in Ukraine after the war. The worst of them assumes that Ukrainians, namely men who were banned from traveling abroad, will leave our country to join their families, who have already assimilated in Europe and other countries of the world.
A positive scenario, noted Yevgeny Holovakha, will become possible if conditions are created in Ukraine for the return of Ukrainians.
