Winger “Barcelona» Lamin Yamal won the prestigious annual award for the best young footballer Golden BoySports.kz reports with reference to Euro-football.ru.
Yamal’s victory was officially announced by the Tuttosport publication, which presented the prize.
The fact that Yamal won the Golden Boy prize is not a surprise. The talented footballer was considered the undisputed favorite in the fight for the award after his successful performances for Barcelona and the Spanish national team.
The Golden Boy prize has been awarded to the best young footballer in Europe since 2003. The winner of the award can be a player under the age of 21. Note that last year the prize was won by Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham.
