Ukrainians will return products to supermarkets under the new rules
The new order will come into effect after martial law is lifted.
The government has approved a new procedure for returning unfit or unsafe food products.
This was reported in the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.
The new procedure will enter into force simultaneously with the new version of the law “On the protection of consumer rights”, that is, after the termination or cancellation of martial law.
“The proposed mechanism will make it possible to protect the rights of buyers and at the same time give businesses the opportunity to settle disputed issues with consumers quickly and without going to court. This will to some extent protect honest businesses from inspections and become a reliable mechanism for protecting consumer rights,” explained Deputy Minister Tetyana Berezhna.
