— Zhan Ali, let's start with the start of your journey in football. Where did it all start?
— I was born in Taraz, but when I was two years old, our family moved to Karaganda, this is the family’s homeland. There I started going to football games, the first coach was Vladimir Nikolaevich Pedora.
My dad took me to sections, didn’t know where to send me, he’s a boxer himself, but he categorically didn’t want to send me to boxing. I saw that I often played football in the yard, but there was a problem with schools back then. Dad took me to Vladimir Nikolaevich, because he once played in Taraz and that’s why he took me.
