Iryna Farion Street will be in Lviv
The street, named after the Ukrainian linguist and public figure, is located in the Halytsky district of the city.
On Thursday, November 28, at a plenary meeting of the Lviv City Council, deputies decided to rename Technical Street in Lviv in honor of public figure Iryna Farion, who was killed in July this year.
This was reported by the press service of the Lviv City Council.
This street is located in the Halytskyi district of the city and runs from Mateyka Street to the junction of Ustiyanovycha Street and Bibliotechnaya Street. The student campus of the Lviv Polytechnic, where Iryna Farion taught, and the Franko University, where she studied, are located nearby.
The Lviv City Council reminded that Iryna Farion was shot on July 19 of this year, and she died of her injuries in the hospital.
