How much will the West allocate to support the Armed Forces


Western countries will also help Ukraine develop its own weapons production.

In 2025, the military budget of Ukraine will amount to 2.22 trillion hryvnias. In addition, international partners will provide significant financial assistance to strengthen the country's defense capabilities.

Defense Minister Rustem Umyerov announced the key indicators of this support.

Main sources of international aid:

• Baltic countries: Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia will send 0.25% of GDP each to support Ukraine.

• Great Britain: £3 billion every year until 2031.

• Denmark: 8.7 billion euros by 2028, 2.2 billion euros in 2025.

• EU: the second tranche of military aid in early 2025 will amount to 1.9 billion euros for the purchase of ammunition, air defense systems and support for the defense industry.

• NATO: up to EUR 500 million as part of a comprehensive assistance package.
