how much time is needed to improve the situation — Ukraine

It will take up to two weeks to restore Ukraine's energy system after the massive attack by the Russian Federation on November 28. However, these terms are realistic only if there are no new attacks on energy infrastructure.

Volodymyr Omelchenko, director of energy programs of the Razumkov Center, stated this in a comment to “RBK.Ukraine”.

According to him, the recovery will take so long because of the severity of the damage, which was superimposed on the effects of the previous attacks.

“I think it will take ten days, maybe two weeks. It's not a fact that there won't be new shelling,” he said.

The expert noted that Russia has a limited “window of opportunity” and aims to deliver maximum blows to the Ukrainian energy system by the New Year, trying to destroy it.

Omelchenko emphasized that international partners and organizations could take effective measures to stop the attacks…
