Protests in Georgia 2024: security forces beat and dispersed protesters
The police used water cannons and tear gas to disperse the protesters. The opposition plans to continue the protests.
On the night of November 29, Georgian security forces dispersed a rally in Tbilisi caused by the authorities' refusal to negotiate on joining the of the European Union.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported the detention of 43 people. The department opened administrative cases for petty hooliganism and disobedience to the police. An investigation is also ongoing under criminal articles of assault on a police officer and damage to property. The report of the Ministry of Internal Affairs states that 32 police officers were injured.
In response, the protesters built barricades and threw eggs at the security forces. The police pushed the protesters away from the parliament building, where the main events took place.
