Neurobiologists have discovered a barely noticeable feature that can indicate that a person is a psychopath.

Researchers conducted eye-gaze experiments on more than 200 volunteers in Great Britain. They found that people with psychopathic tendencies have a hard time noticing small details, but are good at seeing the big picture.

In a real-world environment, such as a party or a pub, this can mean that they find it difficult not to be distracted. The scientists asked volunteers to look at large letters that were made up of many small letters and asked them which one they noticed first. For example, the image of the capital letter “T” consisted of much smaller “Es”.
