Axel Pons, a former participant in the Moto2 World Championship, has radically changed his lifestyle.

The son of the legendary Spaniard Cito Pons, a two-time MotoGP winner, Axel Pons has been traveling the world barefoot for six years.

He had a lot to achieve at the beginning of his career as a motorcycle racer. Expectations were high, but so was the pressure on his shoulders, and despite some results in the Moto2 World Championship – 16th place in the 2016 season was the pinnacle of his racing career – he decided to take a break from motor racing to focus on fashion. Axel did a bit of modeling before disappearing to resurface in 2019 and give an interview to Spanish newspaper El Pais in which he said he wanted to slow down and leave his past life behind. But no one expected such changes.

“At some point I began to ask myself what is the point of living like this…
