Russia is considering resuming nuclear weapons testing. The reason was the “hostile policy” of the United States.
This was stated by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergei Ryabkov, reports Reuters.
“This is a valid issue. And without getting ahead of ourselves, let me just say that the situation is quite complex. It is constantly being looked at in all its components and in all its aspects,” he told reporters.
The agency noted that in September Ryabkov referred to statements by Russian dictator Vladimir Putin that the Russian Federation would not conduct nuclear weapons tests as long as the United States refrained from conducting them. Russia has not conducted such tests since 1990.
