The political crisis in Georgia has sharply worsened. President Salome Zurabishvili refused to resign when her term expired in mid-December. The corresponding statement was released by the presidential press service.

“National consensus was reached on the main issue – no one can take away the independence of Georgia, no one can return Georgia to Russia, no one can take away Georgia’s freedom and European future.
