Defending Ukraine, the father of Shakhtar Donetsk goalkeeper Denis Tvardovsky, Dmitry Tvardovsky, died. This was reported on the football club's Instagram page.
“From the first days of a full-scale war, Dmitry Anatolyevich Tvardovsky joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, was a mortarman, served in the hottest spots of eastern Ukraine, courageously defended the independence of our state and the freedom of the Ukrainian people,” Shakhtar said.
