Ukrainian Olympic high jump champion Yaroslav Maguchih became the best track and field athlete in the world in 2024 according to the version of the International Federation of Track and Field (World Athletics).

In the final voting, Maguchih overtook the Belgian Nafissata Thiam, who became the Olympic champion of Paris-2024 in the heptathlon.

It should be noted that Yaroslava was nominated for the World Athletics award for the third year in a row, but won this prize for the first time.
