US President Joe Biden pardoned his son Hunter Biden, clearing him of convictions for tax evasion and illegal gun possession.
According to The Wall Street Journal, this decision, made over the Thanksgiving weekend, caused a mixed reaction, since Biden had previously said that he would not interfere in his son's affairs.
In a statement, the president said the Justice Department had acted unfairly towards his son, adding: “By trying to break Hunter, they tried to break me – and there is no reason to believe that this will be the end of it. Enough is enough.”
