In southern Guinea's largest city, dozens of soccer fans, including children, died in the crowd as police tried to quell clashes that broke out during a match in a packed stadium. Associated Press reports.

The incident occurred on December 1 in the city of Nzerekore during the final of a local tournament between the teams of Labe and Nzerekore, said Prime Minister of Guinea Amadou Ouri Bach.
