Su-35 fighters – Russia transferred dangerous aircraft to Iran – UNIAN
The transfer of the latest Russian aircraft to Tehran could radically change the balance of power in the Middle East region.
On November 18, during a ceremony that took place on the territory of the aircraft plant in Komsomolsk-on-Amur, the first two Su-35 aircraft (Su-35SE) were officially transferred to Iran. This was reported by the German publication Flug Revue, dedicated to aerospace topics.
After the handover, the fighters were disassembled and transported using an An-124 transport aircraft to Mehrabad Airport in Tehran, from where they were to be delivered to the air base of the Islamic Republic Air Force in Hamadan.
According to Flug Revue, it was initially planned to order 25 fighters to replace part of the F-14 at the Iranian Air Force base in Isfahan, but then the order for the Su-35 was increased to 50 aircraft….
