In Ukraine, traffic studies are being conducted on six key routes to determine whether toll roads should be introduced. This is part of the requirements of the European Union. A draft law has already been prepared and there are agreements with the European Investment Bank regarding the financing of this process.
This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Community and Territorial Development Serhiy Derkach during the EVA event, UNN reported.
“The issue of toll roads is a requirement of the EU. We have a draft law on this and we are currently working on its implementation…In order to make a high-quality road, it is necessary to conduct an analysis of traffic intensity, currently such an analysis is being conducted on 6 roads in order to launch the mechanism of toll roads roads.
