After the Maidan, there was no awareness that there would be such a war and on such a scale. But we have not yet reached the most terrible events – the Third World War is still ahead. Everything could have been stopped if in 2014 all of Ukraine stood up for defense, and then we repelled the enemy, instead of waiting for the war to knock on everyone's door

This opinion was expressed by Lesya Lytvynova, a volunteer, military officer, and Maidan activist in an interview with TSN.

“After the Maidan, when the events in Crimea and Donbas began, I absolutely understood that this was a war. And I directly remember how my mother came to see me in the maternity hospital. I have to give birth to Varya today or tomorrow, and we are sitting and flipping through the news feed.
