Ukraine will fully join the ICC Assembly from January 1 – UNIAN
Ukraine has submitted the instrument of ratification to the UN Secretary General, but the document does not enter into force immediately.
Ukraine is participating in the 23rd session of the Assembly of States Parties of the International Criminal Court (ICC) as an observer, but will be able to fully join the work of the Assembly after officially joining the States Parties, which will take place on January 1, 2025. ICC representative Fadi El-Abdallah told an Ukrinform correspondent in The Hague about this.
According to him, Ukraine ratified the Rome Statute by submitting the instrument of ratification to the UN Secretary General. However, this document does not come into force immediately, but from the first day of the month following the 60th day from the date of transfer.
