Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjártó arrived in Moscow for negotiations. The parties discussed the war in Ukraine and the issue of energy supply to Budapest, as reported by the head of the Budapest Foreign Ministry on his Facebook page.
“Over the past thousand days, the danger of an escalation of war in Ukraine has never been so severe. That is why the efforts of the Hungarian peace mission must be further strengthened,” he said.
Szijjártó emphasized that he went to Moscow on a “peace mission.” He said that Ukraine and Russia need to sit down at the negotiating table as quickly as possible and agree on a ceasefire.
