Mahmud Sabyrkhan's fight at the 2024 Boxing Championships ended with a lightning-fast knockout – Boxing/MMA
One of the leaders of the Kazakhstan boxing team Mahmud Sabyrkhan fought his first fight at Asian Championship 2024 in Chiang Mai (Thailand), Sports.kz reports.
In the 1/8 finals of the weight category up to 54 kilograms, Sabyrkhan’s opponent was Taiwanese Lai Yang-Ling. Already in the first round, Mahmud Sabyrkhan knocked down his opponent three times, after which the referee stopped the fight. In the next round he will meet Jayanath Kumara from Sri Lanka.
Let us remind you that Mahmud Sabyrkhan is the 2023 world champion and the silver medalist of the 2022 Asian Championship. In the summer of 2024, Mahmoud competed at the Olympic Games in Paris, but sensationally lost in the first round.
