Under what conditions the summons is not considered served: details — Ukraine

There are several important aspects in the process of serving summonses for military registration in Ukraine.

Due to the full-scale invasion of Russia in Ukraine, mobilization continues. Therefore, all conscripted men must comply with the rules of military registration.

This opinion was expressed by lawyer and activist Dmytro Franchuk in a comment to UNIAN.

According to him, there are cases when serving a summons is considered illegal. He noted that a citizen can be punished only if he deliberately ignored the duly served summons.

Failure to appear for a summons to clarify data, if it was left in a mailbox, given to relatives or neighbors, is not considered to have been served in accordance with the law. In addition, the employer must ensure that the summons is personally delivered to the conscript.
