17-year-old boys will be automatically registered for military service – Ministry of Defense
Young men no longer need to contact the TCC or undergo a medical examination.
Upon reaching the age of 17, Ukrainian boys will automatically register for military service.
The Verkhovna Rada passed the relevant draft law in the first reading, Defense Minister Rustem Umyerov said.
According to him, young men no longer need to apply to the TCC or undergo a medical examination in order to register for the military. It will be enough to complete the identification in the Reserve+ application, after which the application itself will generate a military registration document.
“This is another step in the transfer of military records into a convenient digital format. We are making state services as accessible and transparent as possible for Ukrainians,” the Minister of Defense assured.
