Reparations from the Russian Federation – The Verkhovna Rada adopted an important bill on the return of a $50 billion loan – UNIAN

This decision creates a new concept in the budgetary sphere – “conditional debt obligations”.

The Verkhovna Rada generally approved bill No. 12232 regarding changes to the Budget Code, which relate to non-repayable financial assistance of $50 billion from the G7 (Group of Seven) countries and the EU. People's Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak wrote about this on Telegram.

“To put it simply, it’s about $50 billion from the G7, that Ukraine will not repay this loan if it does not receive reparations from Russia. And the money will not be counted as public debt,” the people’s deputy said. According to him, the bill was supported by 271 deputies.
