A Ukrainian is one step away from the podium: the results of the first individual race of the Biathlon World Cup season
Vitaly Mandzyn took fourth place in the short individual race in Kontiolagt.
On Tuesday, December 3, at the starting stage Biathlon World Cup-2024/25 the first personal race of the season took place in Kontiolagt, Finland – the men's short “individual”.
Ukraine was represented in the race Dmytro Pidruchnyi, Anton Dudchenko, Vitaly Mandzin and Artem Tyshchenko.
The best result among Ukrainians was shown by Mandzyn, who took fourth place with perfect shooting. This is his best result in his career at the World Cup level.
In total, three Ukrainians entered the top 15 at once. In addition to Mandzin, Pidruchny and Dudchenko managed to do this.
The entire podium was taken by the Norwegians: Endre Strömsheim became the winner of the race, Johannes Bö took second place, Sturla Legreid rounded off the top three winners.
