Kazakh boxer Aigerim Sattybaeva had her first fight at Asian Championship 2024 in Chiang Mai (Thailand), writes Sports.kz.
In the Thai ring, Sattybaeva met with Filipino Ofelia Magno in the quarterfinals of the weight category up to 48 kilograms and defeated her on points after the judges reviewed the replay. Thus, she will continue to fight for medals in the semi-finals, and Magno leaves the Asian championship.
It should be noted that the repeated champion of Kazakhstan and bronze medalist of the 2010 Asian Championship Aigerim Sattybaeva returned to boxing in 2023 after a long break. The athlete is the mother of five children and the wife of the famous former boxer Olzhas Sattybaev.
