Ukraine does not insist on its immediate accession to NATO during the war. The time must come for that.

This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrii Sybiga in a conversation with journalists on the sidelines of the NATO ministerial meeting, the correspondent of “European Pravda” reports.

The diplomat was asked about the format of membership and the application of Article 5. The minister stated that this is not the case at the moment.

“The appropriate time must come for this,” he emphasized.

Andrii Sybiga admitted that during the war, the agreement on the format of membership does not seem realistic. Some NATO members believe that this could lead to an escalation of the conflict.
