Will Zelensky's peace plan work?
The analyst noted that the plan may seem unique, but it is not unprecedented.
Last week, Volodymyr Zelensky suggested that a ceasefire could be reached if Ukrainian territory controlled by Kyiv could be brought “under the NATO umbrella,” allowing him to negotiate the return of the remainder later “diplomatically.”
Zelensky, in an interview with Sky News' Stuart Ramsay, said the unoccupied parts of the country would need to be offered NATO membership. He appears to have accepted that the occupied eastern parts of the country are not yet subject to such an agreement.
