Biathlon: results of the first women's individual race of the 2024/25 World Cup season
Three Ukrainian women made it to the scoring zone as a result of a short individual race in Kontiolagt.
On Wednesday, December 4, at the starting stage Biathlon World Cup-2024/25 the first women's individual race of the season took place in Kontiolagt, Finland – a short “individual”.
Ukraine was represented in the race Khrystyna Dmytrenko, Julia Jima, Anastasia Merkushina, Oleksandr Merkushin and Anna Krivonos.
Oleksandra Merkushina, who took 33rd place, showed the best result among Ukrainian women. This is her best performance in her career at the World Cup level.
In total, three Ukrainian women made it to the scoring zone. In addition to Oleksandra, Jim (38th position) and Dmytrenko (40th place) managed to score points.
The race was won by the Frenchwoman Lou Jeanmonnot. She was joined on the podium by Swedish biathletes Ella Halvarsson and Elvira Eberg.
