By the New Year, MTS connected another one and a half thousand residents of the Kirov region to the network

The MTS digital ecosystem reports coverage by the MTS network of 14 small settlements in the Kirov region, where voice communications and the Internet became available for the first time. The work was carried out with the support of the Ministry of Information Technologies and Communications of the Kirov Region.

Thanks to the construction of new base stations, MTS was the first operator to provide LTE and mobile communications to another one and a half thousand residents of the region living in villages with a population of 40 to 300 people. For example, on New Year’s Eve, 44 residents of the village of Dvorishcha, Sunsky district, and 274 natives of the village of Zimnik, Kilmez district, will be able to congratulate their relatives on the holiday via video link.
