Astronomers have discovered an extremely rare group of five dwarf galaxies that are interacting with each other at a distance of approximately 117 million light years from Earth.
The results of this discovery were published on November 19 in The Astrophysical Journal Letters, the Daily Mail reports.
Dwarf galaxies, in contrast to ordinary galaxies, have a much lower mass and luminosity, since they contain only a few billion stars, while in standard galaxies there are hundreds of billions.
