Zelenskyi told how many Ukrainian mayors are in Russian captivity – Ukraine


The president reprimanded the world for the lack of efforts to return Ukrainian citizens from captivity in the Russian Federation.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that at least six mayors of Ukrainian cities and heads of communities are in Russian captivity.

The head of state announced this in an address at a conference devoted to human rights work.

Zelensky called on the international community to make every effort to return Ukrainians from captivity.

“Now at least six mayors of cities and heads of communities are in Russian captivity. They are among thousands of Ukrainians who are not guilty of anything, but have been in captivity for years. And not only since 22. But also since 2014. We are doing everything, to return them,” the president said.
