Over the past year, nominal salaries of Ukrainians increased by 22%. The talent shortage forces employers to pay more, which has a negative impact on the economy.

Labor market expert Sergei Marchenko in an interview with Ukrainian Radio noted that if applicants do not apply for a vacancy, the employer increases wages.

“If you look at wage statistics, they are growing at a rapid pace for two years in a row. Over the past year, nominal wages increased by 22%.
