All construction in Ukraine is becoming more expensive due to the increase in the electricity transmission tariff – Union of Building Materials Manufacturers
The proposal of the National Commission, which regulates the energy and utilities sector, to increase the electricity transmission tariff by 26% will lead to an increase in the cost of building materials for the final consumer and will worsen the purchasing power of Ukrainians, said Kostyantyn Saliy, president of the Union of Building Materials Manufacturers.
On November 13, HKPEKP approved a draft decision, which foresees a 26% increase in the electricity transmission tariff in 2025 – from UAH 528.57 to UAH 665.27/MWh.
“We believe that this is an economic fraud. The search for sources of income for the budget is not at all where it should be. It should be understood that manufacturers include the calculation of all costs in the final price. So, in the end, the average Ukrainian will still pay.
