On Thursday, December 5, the trial of Russian Yan Petrovsky began in Finland on charges of war crimes while commanding a far-right paramilitary group in eastern Ukraine ten years ago.

Court documents seen by Reuters show that Petrovsky, who was born in 1987, faces five charges of war crimes in eastern Ukraine in 2014 and 2015.
