It is supposed to go faster than any locomotive ever built.
In China, the construction of a train that will hover above the ground and move at a speed of 1000 km per hour is underway.

China's railway will use Maglev (magnetic levitation) in the same way that several high-speed trains around the world do – except that this train will travel much faster than any locomotive that has ever been built.
Currently, the record holder for the fastest train in the world is the Shanghai Maglev, which moves at a speed of 460 km/h. It was also the first train to use Maglev technology, hence the name. The new Chinese train will travel at more than twice the speed of this train.
