Jury trials in Ukraine may be introduced in a few years
The reason for this is, in particular, the lack of premises in courts where it will be possible to accommodate jurors.
The introduction of jury trials in Ukraine after the adoption of the relevant law may take more than one year. Lawyer Tatyana Kozachenko said this on the air of “Kyiv 24”, answering a question about the future work of jury trials in Ukraine.
“The implementation of this institution will be very difficult, including in terms of material resources. At the moment, if we take district courts, there are courtrooms where it is impossible for the parties to even be present – the premises are so small,” she noted.
