One of the world's most feared drug lords has been released from prison in the United States and is expected to return to his native Colombia.

Fabio Ochoa Vazquez was released earlier this week after serving 25 years in prison for drug crimes.
The cartel member was widely feared but managed to amass a huge fortune after allegedly wielding enormous power over the cocaine market in Colombia. According to the US Bureau of Prisons, he served only 25 years of a 30-year sentence.
Ochoa, 67, made his fortune in the late 1970s and 1980s with his brother. They accumulated so much money in the United States that Ochoa was included in Forbes magazine's list of billionaires.
