War in Ukraine – demand for antidepressants increased by almost 50%

Ukrainians began to spend more on imported drugs, but bought them in smaller quantities.

Due to war, stress and seasonal illnesses in Ukraine, the demand for mental health and mental health products has increased. According to analysts from the Liki24 service, this year the demand for antidepressants increased by 46%, and for vitamins – by 45.5% compared to 2023.

It is noted that these categories have become growth leaders, traditionally second only to seasonal drugs for influenza (50%), sore throat (48%) and runny nose (46%).
