Samsung will help Apple “pump up” AI in iPhone – UNIAN
Apple wants to switch to a new method of packaging RAM. This change will improve artificial intelligence.
TheElec reports that Apple has asked Samsung to change the way it packages RAM for the iPhone. The company wants to expand bandwidth to make its smartphones better able to handle artificial intelligence tasks.
While most smartphones have RAM in the same package as the processor, Apple is going against the norm. To provide more RAM as well as faster memory access for Apple Intelligence AI tasks, the company is considering using separate chips.
According to The Elec, Apple has asked Samsung to study the layout of the DRAM memory used in the iPhone….
