12-year-old Kirov resident Alexandra Eremina won the International Prize

The government of the Kirov region reports that Kirov resident Alexandra Eremina won the International WETOGETHER Award in the “Act of the Year” category.
In 2023, a 12-year-old girl was returning home and noticed a man threatening a young girl with a knife and demanding her phone and keys. Despite being disabled since birth, the Kirov woman intervened: she hit the attacker with a crutch and forced him to let go of the victim. The attacker tried to escape, but was caught by the police.
Sasha Eremina became the hero of the city. The girl plays sledge hockey. Now her collection of achievements includes a victory in the “Act of the Year” special category. The award was presented to the girl by Tatyana Golikova, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation.
This is the first time such an award has been awarded to a Kirov resident.
