Ukraine gave up its nuclear weapons without any guarantees from the West, and Putin said he would do nothing.

December 5 marked the 30th anniversary of the signing of the Budapest Memorandum. The document according to which Ukraine should receive protection from the guarantor states for giving up nuclear weapons. But in reality, one of the guarantors, Russia, attacked Ukraine. And other countries declared that they have no mechanisms to restrain this aggression.
