Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky said that the command of the Defense Forces carefully prepared for the operation in the Kursk region. In particular, the generals took into account the experience of previous offensives at the front.
“We calculated various options for the development of events. We had a minimum and maximum task. Of course, we took into account the experience of conducting the Kharkov operation (in 2022 – ed.). This is not an exaggeration, we really took this experience into account, taking into account the fact that the terrain was similar,” the general noted in a documentary about the Kursk operation, which was broadcast on the telethon.
