In October 2024, in France, a biographical film about the French singer of Armenian origin, Charles Aznavour, “Monsieur Aznavour” was released.
The film, which Ukrainian film fans could see for the first time this week during the opening of the Evenings of French Cinema festival, is a co-production between France and Belgium and was released by Pathé. The film's budget was 26 million euros.
The biopic was filmed specifically for the 100th anniversary of the birth of Charles Aznavour. The film covers the singer's life from his youth, his formative years in France and ends with his triumph in the USA in the 1950s.
