Acting Mayor of Chernihiv resigned: details
The reason for this decision was a conflict with the heads of military administrations.
Oleksandr Lomako, secretary of the Chernihiv City Council, acting mayor, has submitted a resignation letter.
This was reported by the press service of the Chernihiv City Council.
Lomako said he tendered his resignation on Saturday, December 7.
“Officials from military administrations have taken the city hostage on instructions from above. Their condition is that Lomako must resign from his elected position. They told me in simple words that if I don't do it, they will plunge the city into chaos,” the message reads.
It will be recalled that a woman was detained in Chernihiv who was spying for the enemy, passing on information about military facilities. A local resident is suspected of treason committed under martial law (Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
