Prices for imported tomatoes in Ukraine began to fall. A short-term increase in prices last week was one of the reasons for the sharp decline in demand for Turkish tomatoes.

Analysts of the EastFruit project noted that the supply of imported tomatoes in Ukraine continues to increase, which was the main reason for the decline in prices for the vegetable. The supply of local tomatoes is insignificant, since the season in Ukraine is over.

Thus, today greenhouse tomatoes go on sale at 70-80 UAH/kg ($1.68-1.92/kg), which is on average 11% cheaper than at the end of the last working week.
