When a subpoena is considered served – the lawyer’s answer – UNIAN
According to the lawyer, there are three options for the development of events in this case.
In Ukraine, against the background of the war, the mobilization of citizens into the army continues. Some people receive summonses by mail. According to the law, they are obliged to fulfill their duties, and for violation they face liability.
Lawyer Angelina Chipets from the Justice law firm told what consequences await a person who does not pick up a summons from the mail. According to her, there are several options:
- a fine for failure to appear on a summons in accordance with the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offences;
- criminal liability for systematic evasion of duties related to receiving subpoenas, which may be punishable by imprisonment;
