Maidan in Georgia – the government installs a new Christmas tree near the parliament
During the Euromaidan, Yanukovych tried to ban protests on the Independence Maidan in Kyiv by installing what he called a “Christmas tree”.
In Tbilisi, the authorities installed a Christmas tree near the parliament building to prevent demonstrators protesting the government's decision to abandon European integration from gathering in the square.
Video from the scene is published on social networks.
The protesters did not get lost and during the action against violence against journalists, they approached the Christmas tree and started pasting photos of the beaten participants of the protest actions and journalists on it.
As a result, security forces, who hide their faces behind masks, surrounded the uncollected Christmas tree and did not allow outsiders to approach it.
