Israel has focused its efforts on destroying “strategic weapons” that could fall into the hands of its enemies.
As dictator Bashar al-Assad's regime was toppled, Israel carried out “very intense” strikes on Syria. This was reported by sources in the defense department to The Times of Israel.
According to sources, dozens of Israeli Air Force aircraft carried out strikes on multiple targets throughout Syria, focusing their forces on the destruction of “strategic weapons” that could fall to the country’s enemies after the fall of the Assad regime.
In addition, the strikes targeted weapons production facilities and air defense facilities.
